The ideal mattress should allow for the spine to rest as straight as possible.
Mattresses Move, Matttresses Breath, Mattresses Provide Support.
A healthy mattress is one that provides consistent support to the body, adjusting to the natural shape of the spine as it moves. When used with a slat base, a mattress must be flexible enough to adjust to the different positions permitted by the base, and also firm enough to provide the necessary support in accordance with the individual's body weight.
The composition and combination of materials used in the manufacturing of mattresses has evolved over decades. Modern mattresses combine a variety of natural materials such as silk, camel hair, sheep's wool and cotton with Suplex, Micro-Tec, Visco-Elastic foam, and others.
Our mattresses include a wide variety of ventilation channels to remove moisture. They weigh much less than traditional innerspring mattresses, making maintenance easier. The broad range of products allows each sleeper to find a mattress ideally suited to their needs.
Because the traditional innerspring mattresses commonly sold today use metal framework they are rigid and not suited or recommended for use with slat bases, specially for adjustable beds with sitting position. Spring mattresses are not recommended because of their stiffness. Spring mattresses can actually break in the middle after a short time of use in adjustable beds and feel saggy due to the damage received while bent.
A very soft mattress with too much "give" harms the spine, causing back pain.
A very hard mattress that leaves enough space to slide a hand under the lordosis also harms the spine, causing back pain.
